Payment

• Lessons for the month must be paid for in advance by the 1st day of each month.

• All lessons are provided at the teacher’s studio. All in-home lessons will have a minimum surcharge of $10.00.

• Lesson fees are subject to increase. Students will be notified two months in advance of the new lesson fee.

Scheduling

• One month’s notice must be given prior to termination/ break of lessons and all fees must be up to date. When failed to give a one month notice, there will be a fee of $140 (2-weeks of lesson).

• To reschedule a lesson, more than 24 hour notice must be given, 48 hour notice is preferred. 

• A student is only allowed to reschedule a lesson once per month. NO EXCEPTIONS will be given. Any additional absences will be considered a “missed” lesson. In this case, no credit or discount will be given.

• Rescheduled lessons must be made up within the month during which they were originally scheduled.  Lessons not made up within the month will not be credited or rolled over into following months.

• No allowance will be made for missed lessons. 

• Time lost because of a student’s lateness cannot be made up. 

• In the event of the teacher’s absence, make-up lessons will be arranged.

Privacy

• The student must not enter into examinations, performances or auditions without the prior knowledge and approval of the teacher.

• Student must not purchase an instrument without teacher’s permission.

• Teachers respect the provision of Federal Legislation regarding protection of privacy.

• Personal information provided to the teacher will not be shared without explicit authorization from the parents/student. 

• Parents are welcome to attend lessons and are encouraged to be a part of the student’s practice sessions.
